There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Kurka and Eastman: Page 3, line 5, following "assistant": Insert "with the written consent of the patient or the parent or guardian of the patient if the patient is under 18 years of age" Representative Kurka moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Snyder objected. **The presence of Representative Patkotak was noted. Representative Snyder removed the objection. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representative Eastman: Page 3, line 23: Insert a new bill section to read: "*Sec. 8 AS 13.52 is amended by adding a new section to read: Sec. 13.52.67. Right of patient to receive notification. Nothing in this chapter shall limit the right of a patient to be notified prior to receiving a do not resuscitate order, or the right of a patient's next of kin to be notified if the patient is not competent to receive notification."
